BLOOM 2 pendant lamp designed by Ferruccio Laviani and manufactured by the Italian firm Kartell.
Bloom is composed of a tubular polycarbonate skeleton, completely covered with a structure of small double-corolla flowers. The result is an industrially produced lamp, but with the shapes and stylistic complexity of a one-piece handcrafted object. A series of bulbs placed on the internal skeleton diffuse the light beam through the petals, causing the light to refract on the cut surfaces of the petals and diffuse a thousand reflections.
The material of the structure is in transparent or paste-dyed polycarbonate and the flowers are in paste-dyed thermoplastic technopolymer, with a choice of various finishes.
Transparent: crystal or pink-black.
Opaque: white or black.
