SUN ceiling/wall lamp - Marset

SUN ceiling/wall lamp designed by Yonoh and manufactured by the Spanish firm of Marset.

The concept of Sun is inspired by the play of light created by the sun when it begins to appear over the horizon, a magical moment even though it is repeated day after day. To achieve this, Estudio Yonoh has played with the superimposition of materials that generate a luminous effect that transports us to this precise moment.

The light emanating from Sun captivates the eye and helps to define the space. Its design achieves balance: it is a point of interest without being the protagonist. Sun's different materials - a metal casing, a polycarbonate dish and a translucent blown glass diffuser - each reflect the light in their own way, as in those moments when darkness gives way to light.

A metal housing supports a concave polycarbonate plate into which is inserted a translucent blown glass circle containing the LED light source. The different nature of its materials allows each one to reflect the light in its own way, as happens in those moments when darkness gives way to light. The finish is graphite.
