Tubes
The tubular wall sconces are an incredible option to bring a point of distinction and simplicity to any environment.
We can place them in the living room, to illuminate it indirectly, creating a cozy atmosphere or in the hallway as a passage light.
Reading light
Do you like to read in bed and have an indirect light point in your bedroom? Undoubtedly, more and more people are choosing to place in their bedrooms this type of luminaires.
When reading in bed, having a good point of light is essential, such light should be comfortable and functional at the same time. The light must be homogeneous, uniform and without shadows.
If your intention is not to read in bed, but to have a point of light that slightly illuminates the bedroom, you can also find ceiling pendants or sconces with lampshade, perfect to give a warm and cozy light.
Depending on the style:
Modern wall sconces
Modern decoration is based on harmony, functionality and simplicity in which simplicity and straight, clean lines predominate.
The luminaires are adjusted to the different decorative styles, in order to highlight within each room. In modern luminaires, basic colors and simple shapes predominate.
Nordic wall sconces
The design of Nordic wall sconces is minimalist, it tries to show elegance and simplicity, it is able to catch looks. Like the modern style, it uses straight lines, soft luminaires and mostly, luminaires with white or wood finish.
Vintage wall sconces
Vintage decoration is now more fashionable than ever. It is based on a decoration composed of furniture and decorative elements that have a certain time. Its tones are usually neutral although everything goes in a different way.
Depending on the location:
Outdoor wall lights
If you have an outdoor area that you want to illuminate, whether it is an entrance, porch, patio, garden, etc. the best option is to place wall sconces.
To choose an outdoor wall light, you must first see where you want to place it and know the type of light you need. Once you have these two steps clear, it is very important that you look at the level of protection of the luminaires. The protection level (IP) determines the protection of the luminaire against different external agents such as dust and water, the higher the IP, the more protected the luminaire will be.
Indoor wall lights
Indoor wall lights are designed to provide “extra” lighting and decoration. We recommend their use to complement and accompany central lighting.
They are a good option to highlight decorative elements, such as a showcase, pictures, etc. or to provide indirect light, which will provide a unique visual comfort.
How to install wall sconces
To properly install a wall sconce on the wall you must follow a few basic steps:
First of all, before placing any luminaire we have to turn off the light.
Then we will place the mounting plate where we want to place the wall light. The fixture must fit on the plate, usually this will be achieved by turning the lamp on the plate and placing it in such a way that the screws of the plate are connected.
The third and most important step is to connect the wires to the power supply. To do this, the mounting plate must be properly screwed to the luminaire and the wires of the luminaire must be connected to the power supply. To do this, the lamp and power wires must be stripped so that they can be spliced together. Once the wires have been stripped, connect the black wire to the black wire and the blue wire to the blue wire in the power strip. If the luminaire has a ground wire (green/yellow), it is also plugged into the power strip. Normally the wall lights do not include this last cable.
Finally, and once we have everything well connected, we will place the wall lamp and its corresponding bulb carefully.
