MILANA 32 pendant lamp - Marset

MILANA 32 pendant lamp designed by Jaume Ramírez and manufactured by the Spanish firm of Marset.

Moving the point of light, this is the idea behind Jaume Ramírez's new design. Milana consists of a system of modular suspension lamps that combine with each other and can be moved both vertically and horizontally.

Paradoxically, this new design begins with the deconstruction of the archetype of a lamp: synthesising it as much as possible, it remains only a suspended cylindrical body with a built-in LED. To this cylinder can be added different conical shades in pearl white and black in various sizes. But the most ingenious thing is that each of these lamps can be fitted with a simple counterweight that allows them to move when hung between two points.

An almost imperceptible lens covers the LED and distributes the light: if only the cylindrical luminaire is used, the direct light downwards is impeccable, and when a lampshade is added, the light escapes by radiating the lamp itself. This new lighting system puts the user in control of the light, creating a new conceptual approach.

In addition, the Milana collection is now also available with a pressed glass accessory in a fumé finish. A complement that adds volume and makes your lighting full of nuances. This version is 24V ready, a technical detail that makes it possible to connect several lamp units to a single light point. With the Milana with pressed glass, you can create lighting ensembles to illuminate large spaces.

Raise or lower the lamps, move them longitudinally, mix cylindrical shapes or combine them with lampshades. The Milana collection allows you to create countless compositions, now also with a single point of light.

The collection also features the cluster accessory, which makes it possible to connect several pendant lamps at the same time to a single light point. This gives you absolute freedom to build with light, to illuminate large spaces and to create compositions.
