PALOSANTO outdoor wall lamp - Marset

PALOSANTO outdoor wall lamp designed by Christophe Mathieu and manufactured by the Spanish firm Marset.

Discreet, without falling into minimalism, the new Palosanto collection proposes a highly versatile and functional design to illuminate the outdoors with direct light. Available in a wall lamp version and also as a bollard in three height measurements - 30, 60 and 90 cms-. All the beacon versions include a spotlight, and the tallest, 90 cm, is also available with two spotlights. In any of them, the spotlights can be moved along the seat post. In this way the position of the light can be adapted to the growth of the vegetation.

In addition to illuminating, each spotlight acts as a protector and reflector. On one hand, it incorporates a grid -which is removable- in the shape of a honeycomb panel that traps the peripheral light and eliminates glare, and on the other, it reflects part of the light emitted, letting it escape through the back area, delicately illuminating the body of the diffuser. A play of light that creates a halo with a decorative effect and evokes the warmth of interior lighting. In addition, the spotlight can be rotated manually up to 360 degrees while the cable remains in view, an aesthetic detail that gives freedom to decide where to direct the light. Its colour temperature is 2700K. The collection is available with two wattages and different light opening angles to respond to the different lighting requirements of the outdoor space: greater or lesser luminous flux, and more open or closed angle depending on whether you want to illuminate areas near or far from the luminaire.

For Christophe Mathieu, designing is above all about observing and thinking about an object that has many possibilities and can be used over time. That is his idea when presenting this new collection which, through its light, aims to accentuate the outdoors, reveal architecture, mark a path or illuminate a tree. Its new design is compact, flexible and resistant to adverse weather conditions. It is an exercise in simplicity, easy to install and integrates into any landscaping project - residential or contract. Palosanto also adds as an accessory different filters to soften the light, attenuate it towards the shade and adjust it to the environment. This gives you more control over the light. That's all you could ask for.
