It is very important to make the most of the natural light that we receive in our kitchen and to study how to illuminate the kitchen correctly. Mainly we can differentiate several main parts of the kitchen; the storage areas and the work areas.
The area that should be the most well cared for and illuminated is the one where we are going to work and/or cook, as we must be ready to prepare our best dishes. To illuminate the work area, we can opt for hanging lamps for the areas where we work on an island without furniture above it. On the other hand, if the island has furniture above it, we can opt for surface-mounted downlights that provide us with the necessary intensity to cook without any problems. In the storage area we can use decorative luminaires that also favour the general lighting of our kitchen. We could even place spotlights in the cupboards and drawers of the storage areas.
