DIPPING LIGHT portable table lamp designed by Jordi Canudas and manufactured by the Spanish firm Marset.

Beyond its function as a lamp, Dipping Light seeks to excite. When switched on, it is fascinating: its different shades of paint sift the light, creating a magical effect in the atmosphere. When switched off, it transforms into a coloured glass sphere, a highly aesthetically charged object.

Dipping Light was born as an experiment - dipping a lit light bulb in paint several times - but becomes a lamp. The various layers of paint draw concentric circles and trap the light, attenuating its intensity. The paint becomes a shade, colouring the light and giving it texture. A brass base is added as a support. This handcrafted process makes each lamp unique and exclusive.

The most poetic lamp is also available as a portable lamp. The base can be in brushed brass or graphite finish, while the colours of the lampshade remain the same.
