DJEMBÉ ceiling lamp designed by Joan Gaspar and manufactured by the Spanish firm of Marset.

The Djembé collection has been designed to be repeated and to create compositions of light on the ceiling. Formally it is a half-bell that reveals its interior and is available in different sizes and colours that if combined together achieve a great decorative effect, even when switched off. If preferred, it can operate in an individual format, illuminating the space with a resounding effect.

Using the rotomoulding technique, Joan Gaspar manages to make the outside look very different from the inside of the lampshade: On the outside, it is reminiscent of the texture of stone, seeking a perception of apparent weight emphasised by its forceful volume. On the inside, when empty, it reveals a smooth, white interior space that allows light to reflect.

Djembé is a lamp designed for use in public spaces that aims to provide beauty and an unbeatable quality of light.

With the challenge of illuminating more and better very large spaces, the Djembé collection offers a ceiling version with a diameter of one metre, with the same finishes as the rest of the collection and which manages to illuminate with a skylight effect: its white interior dome multiplies the light, achieving magnificent illumination. The lighting performance of this large size fits in contract spaces, and its design works and fascinates at the same time.
